As part of the cloud first strategy, Microsoft has a new cloud approach to provisioning and managing Windows 10 devices, known as Modern Management. Windows Autopilot enables the IT Department to set up and pre-configure newly provisioned devices without the need for IT intervention, providing a fully zero touch experience for the user. In addition to this, Autopilot can be used to reset, re-purpose and recover devices, covering the full deployment lifecycle of a device. Autopilot coupled with Mobile Device Management (MDM) provides additional capability to secure devices, publish applications, patch and report on each device enrolled into the service. This enables an IT department to achieve full control and management of their Windows 10 devices with very little infrastructure requirements.

Prior to deploying Autopilot, organizations require devices are enrolled into their Azure tenancy. The XMA Autopilot enrolment service does this on behalf of the customer.

The Windows Autopilot White Glove service enables XMA to pre-provision a Windows 10 device so that it is fully configured and business-ready. From the end user’s perspective, the Windows Autopilot user-driven experience is unchanged, but getting their device to a fully provisioned state is faster.

With XMA’s Windows Autopilot White Glove service, the provisioning process is split. The time-consuming portions are performed by XMA. The end user simply completes a few necessary settings and polices and then they can begin using their device.

Azure AD Connect is a tool that allows your users to be synchronised from on-premise AD to Azure AD to provide a common identity for access on-premise and cloud resources. Moving your Identity to the cloud also allows you to leverage additional cloud functionality such as Multi-Factor Authentication, Conditional Access, Self-Service Password Recovery and more. Integration with Apple and Google is available with Azure AD also and can be added as a bolt-on service.
