Where we came from

Our story begins… XMA began life as Elganhurst Limited in Nottingham, supplying computer equipment and consumables.

Elganhurst Limited had reached a £1million turnover, changed its company name to XMA Limited and moved to its new offices in Nottingham.

Almost 10 years on, turnover had rocketed to £37million and by then, a steady workforce of 130.

We opened a second purpose built office opposite and split our business across end user, retail and wholesale.

In 2007 we were acquired by the Westcoast Group and became part of a £1.4 billion, British owned group.

We acquired Orion Storage Solutions, boosting revenue to £140million and our workforce to 250.

Direct IT was acquired, expanding our existing service offering and workforce.

2014 saw the acquisition of QC Supplies Limited, specialists in print hardware and consumables.

Household name Viglen Limited was acquired, expanding our national footprint to St Albans and adding in-house PC manufacturing to our skills repertoire.

We opened a 5th regional office in Chertsey and established a new corporate division with 28 new employees appointed.

We started the year at a very commendable £400million revenue and a strong workforce with more than 500 employees.
