Nottingham Central Women’s Aid is XMA’s official Charity Partner of the Year for 2026!

What Does it Take to Support a Community?

Technology is often about solving problems before they disrupt a business. But what about the problems that disrupt lives? Domestic abuse remains a critical challenge, with thousands of families requiring urgent help every year. For a charity, the difference between providing a bed for the night or turning someone away often comes down to available funding and public awareness.

That is why we are proud to announce Nottingham Central Women’s Aid (NCWA) as XMA’s official Charity Partner of the Year for 2026

Our Goal: £10,000 for 2026

XMA is committing to a clear target: raising £10,000 throughout 2026. This funding will help NCWA maintain their vital operations, which include providing emergency accommodation and advice for over 200 families annually.

Our teams across the UK will be involved in various initiatives (from physical challenges to internal events) to reach this figure. We are ready to get started and provide the tools needed to help NCWA continue their essential work.

More Than Just Fundraising

This partnership also provides a direct benefit to our own workforce. NCWA will be providing specialist training to XMA’s mental health first aiders. This training will allow our staff to identify the signs of domestic abuse and understand how to respond to disclosures professionally and with empathy.

XMA will also be working closely with NCWA to identify opportunities to volunteer our teams time to support their essential work, through our employee volunteer programme. With a large presence in the Nottingham area, we’re well equip to support their needs locally.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have ‘Nottingham Central Women’s Aid’ named as XMA charity of the year for 2026. This type of support is essential to our small charity for both raising funds to enable us to support the women and children who need our support and for raising awareness so that more people impacted by domestic abuse know that help is available.

We support over 200 families every year providing emergency accommodation, advice and advocacy, as well as survivor recovery programmes and peer support groups in the community. We are also able to provide training on many areas relating to domestic and sexual abuse and violence and are looking forward to training the XMA mental health first aiders to be able to spot the signs and know how to respond to disclosures of domestic abuse.”
